This release contains several improvements to our new Online Booking Discount feature. Discounts may now be applied online at the time of payment if a party requires the entire amount be paid at the time of booking. Users may also now set a start date for their discounts, where as previously only an expiration date could be set.
This release also contains several back end security improvements to further remove and potential vulnerabilities from Party Center Software.
Parties and party packages allow the deposit amount to be set to Full Party Price. This setting requires the guest booking the party to pay the entire amount of the party at the time of booking:
This presents an issue when used in conjunction with Online Booking Discounts. Discounts do not typically apply to the deposit, but rather to the remainder of the party price after the deposit has been paid. This does not make sense, however, if the party requires that the guest pay for the entire amount in one payment.
We have fixed this potential issue by allowing the online discount to apply to the online payment if the party or package has its deposit set to Full Party Price:
Our Online Booking Discount feature previously only allowed for users to set the expiration date for the discount code, meaning that guests would no longer be allowed to enter the code after that date.
With this release, we have also provided a new Start Date field, to allow users full control over the date range for which the discount code will be valid:
